The hotel was a characterful base for our trip. Everything was wonderful with lots to do. - We ate at a magnificent restaurant with great food. - the unit had a good-sized bathroom and large bedroom. - Amazingly nice and amiable staff who were always there to help.

Stunning and awesome location, very close to Serra da Estrela summit. Adjacent to the beautiful local village `` Manteigas '', hiking Serra da Estrela, and the mountain "Torre ".

The only thing we appreciated was the people at breakfast in the room, the design was good, but not enough.
I went with my family and we were very unliked with the service. We arrived in a rainning day, and no one come to help us with our bags from the reception... The room was big, and lovely, but no confortable. We had breakfast in beddroom, and the only table on the it wasn't enough for 3 of us, and has only one chair...For a 4 stars hotel was really bed!

We liked the location and views plus the general interior design of hotel especially the Medieval Restaurant and seating areas near bar.
Thought bedroom/bathroom were in need of some refurbishment in places. Our air conditioning only blew warm air. No cold water came out of taps in bathroom only warm water. Part of the shower system was missing so it was a bath or nothing. We realise we were there in the summer season hence the hotel was very quiet but at check out they were most off hand couldnt be bothered to say thank you or have a good onward journey etc. However staff in restaurant were most friendly.

For a mountain hotel it was rather cold, and the restaurant could have been better considering the very high general quality of the restaurants in the region.
